The Ph.D. Program at GSFC University is structured into five stages over a minimum duration of three years. Each stage is designed with specific milestones to effectively track the students' progress and ensure they pursue their research at an optimal pace, enabling them to fulfill degree requirements within the stipulated timeframe.

Registration Fees

The registration fee for submitting online application form is Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only), which is to be paid online.

Selection Process:

Candidates who intend to take admission for Ph.D. have to apply in a prescribed format through GSFC University’s admission department. On the receipt of applications an entrance test will be conducted for the eligible candidates irrespective of number of applications received, which will be followed by an interview by a Doctoral Committee of the GSFC University.

The entrance test syllabus will consist of two sections: 50% focused on research methodology and 50% on the specific subject. Candidates who score at least 50% in the entrance test will be eligible for the interview. Following the entrance test, an interview will be conducted by the Doctoral Committee. The final selection will be based on a weightage of 70% for the entrance test and 30% for the interview/viva voce performance.

Scientists / Professionals with a minimum 5 Years of experience and at least one publication in refereed journal with ISSN number or books with ISBN number OR with a minimum 10 years of experience working in Government of India / State Government / Corporate Bodies / Laboratories may directly appear for interview subject to fulfilling minimum eligibility criteria.

Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, DST-INSPIRE or equivalent national level examination/fellowship (as identified by BRC)/GATE/ CEED or similar National level tests /teacher fellowship holder may directly appear for interview.

A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
