About The Program

 

The Ph.D. in Management program at GSFC University provides a rigorous academic and research environment emphasizing methodological excellence, data-driven inquiry, and ethical scholarship. Scholars engage in innovative and interdisciplinary research projects addressing emerging trends and contemporary challenges in management. The program is fully aligned with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022, and reflects the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasis on interdisciplinary and outcome-based research education. It combines advanced coursework, structured mentoring, and applied research engagement, enabling scholars to acquire the analytical, conceptual, and methodological expertise required for original contributions to management knowledge and practice.

Program Objectives

 
 

To prepare research scholars with advanced critical thinking skills and the capacity for original, high-impact research in management.

 

To cultivate methodological and analytical proficiency for conducting interdisciplinary and evidence-based research.

 

To enable scholars to develop specialized expertise in domains such as finance, marketing, human resource management, operations, information systems, supply chain management, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

 

To prepare scholars for academic, research, and leadership roles in higher education, industry, consultancy, and policy institutions.

Program Structure

 
 

The Ph.D. in Management program follows a five-stage structure over a minimum duration of three years and a maximum of six years, as per UGC Ph.D. Regulations (2022). Each stage incorporates defined milestones and evaluation checkpoints to ensure consistent progress and timely completion.

The five stages are:

  1. Coursework Completion and Assessment
  2. Research Proposal and Title Registration
  3. Ongoing Research Work and Progress Review
  4. Thesis Submission and Pre-Submission Seminar
  5. Viva Voce and Final Defence

Qualifying Examination

As per UGC's PhD Rules & Regulations 2022

 

Eligibility for Admission

Admission to the Ph.D. in Management program shall be governed by the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D.) Regulations, 2022. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Management or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade). Eligible candidates will undergo a written entrance test followed by a personal interview, as per GSFC University’s Ph.D. Ordinances.

 

Registration Fees

The registration fee for submitting online application form is Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only), which is to be paid online.
